I'm sure someone from this forum had given me a name of a detailer which actually stays on but when finished it looks great. I bought some years ago. Now I can't find it and perhaps it went bad. Sure wish I'd made a note of the brand.

I will admit that I'm in the process of selling one of my cars (not Alfa) and want to make it look good under the massive engine bay, with out spending vast amounts of time detailing every last bit. Should you know of what a Chrysler Crossfire engine bay is like, you'll know what I mean.

I have ordered some Premium X Car Care but doubt if it will work like the other detailing 'material' which was more of a matte finish.

My engine bay is basically clean, just looks sort of dull.

If you've used anything like this type of detailer, please give me the name of it.

Do I understand, that you spray this product on a clean engine bay (engine and firewall surfaces), and it needn't be wiped off, or what is the correct procedure? Thanks.

If you really want the engine to be clean it is necessary to use a well used towel...or? and wipe around the various item in the engine bay. I'd show you the engine I used it with but afraid it wasn't an Alfa.

I like Megs Hyper Dressing. If the engine bay is not too dirty, just spray this product and walk away.
My buddy ordered this Meguiar's Engine Bay cleaner which was tipped by the local auto wash. Gonna try it first on his Wrangler after we finished installing the brake kit and hankook tires plus the skid plates. The engine bay of the Jeep needs some serious cleaning though.

Let us know how it works.

Thanks
