Help I have a 1977 Spider that I have converted from SPICA to Webers and the bell crank shaft (not sure if that's the actual name of it) the threaded part where the washer and nut attach sheared off. Does anyone have an extra one or can anyone direct me where to get one? Thanks!!

Hello Nikolai, I believe it will be hard to get any one to separate that shaft from an otherwise good manifold and most manifolds don't get broken or parted out. You will have better luck buying a whole manifold.

So I would look at a repair.

I would cut the broken stub back flush and drill and tap (best done by using a lathe) the shaft for a same sized stud.

Please report your final fix here.

Good luck

there is a used alfetta spica manifold on ebay with a few bits broken off, but the bell crank is there.....40 bucks, so not dear.

Maybe the seller (from WV) would just remove the part if you ask as he's selling it as an imperfect parts item anyway, then postage would be almost nothing!
(presumeably there's no difference to the spider...?)

not mine, just for info:)
