For adapters, I would suggest that you speak with Charlie DiMarco from Serpent Auto Sport.

You can fit them, Use a VW 5X100 and Et 30-35, get some adpaters made and wobble bolts, simple.
I can help if needed. I have sold a lot of these wheels to VW/AUDI guys. I have good prices on them if interested. Also have adapters and wobble bolts and a good price as well.
17x8.5" CH, 35mm offset, 21.5lbs: $385 per wheel (others: $412 each). $79 for a set of wobble bolts and around $20 for adapters, no tire combo's anymore but I can do it if you really want it. You pick the tire (Will meet or beat tire rack prices and have some brands they do not have) and I can have it mounted and shipped. Will need a 10mm spacer on the rear. I also have Eibach pro-spacers $79.50 a pair. Recommended tire 225/45

Ciao!

Yes, they are popular on Audis

Wow Tempting :D Thanks, just gotta budget the 2500 it would cost to do this
Not right away, but 2008 for sure
sam what wheels do you have now?

If they're nice 16's or 17's I get first dibs when you upgrade!!!

They will be around for while. So no hurry! Always there if you want them.

BTW a 5mm spacer on the rear would work fine as well.
Good looking wheel. Never have seen one on a 164 but is an option and looks similar to the siena for example. So I can see that it could work.
Only 164 I have ever seen with BBS wheels is seen here:
http://www.cuoresportivo.ch/e107_pl...eo's/Alfa Romeo 164/pv_Alfa-Romeo-164-1-1.jpg
Big picture I rather not post.
Another with similar BBS style but deep dish which IMO does not look good but would have with the same wheel non chrome and non deep dish:
I understand these look nothing like the CH's but they have the similar styling which can give you an idea.

If someone can PS these wheels to a 164 that would be cool.

WOW. Those look great!
The car in the link looks nice too. The all white LS is sharp.

The wheels I really want are the 17" Zender Siennas...now unobtainium

hey Sam, the CH's are a good lookin wheel. I say go with Charlie to get adapters made. The min thickness he can do is 20mm, so go for a higher offset and probably not anything more than 8" wide. Charlies's adapters are hubcentric with the alfa hub and can be made to be the same hub bore and bolt pattern of the wheels. My BBS's have a 35mm offset with the 20mm adpaters and they meet up right with they fender, with plenty of room between the 225/45 tires and the struts. The 17x7.5 CH's with 42mm offset will be 7mm closer to the strut than my combo, but will give you more clearance from the tire rubbing the fender. Also, keep an eye here: VWvortex Forums: 5x100 Classifieds
There are many nice sets of used BBS wheel/tire combos for sale there whihc could save you a bit of cash.

I would go with a lower offset like <35mm. I will have the Eibach Pro-spacers available. 10,20,30mm 10mm is a non-hub centric as the hub/wheel will not need it but a 30mm long bolt is need which I supply.
20 and up are hub centric. (All Eibach 10mm spacers across the board are not hub centric as they do not need to be)
With a 40mm offset for example and a 10mm spacer the wheel is now a 30mm offset which is perfect for the 164 with a wider wheel.

As mentioned I will have the rings, bolts and spacers available.

I am offering more wheels now due to demand and now that Zender is no longer making wheels and there are few if any good 5X98 wheels left I have opted to make it work this way. All the OZ wheels direct from OZ for the Alfa 5X98 have been 5X100 with wobble bolts and rings and is TUV certified which means they are deemed Safe for European roads.

I have the Eibach 10mm spacer on the rear with no rub issues fender nor strut. The factory 3mm spacer works just fine as well with out any of the above either.

Hope that helps?

Yeah but if he is going to get the adapters from Charlie, Sam should probably look for a higher offset wheel. For example, the 42mm offset CH's would have a 22mm offset with the adapters, which just about clears from fender rubbing.

Well not too high though. You have to remember if your going with a higher offset to offset a spacer for a reduction in offset you would also have to use a spacer on the front to lower the offset as well which IMO does not work well. I do not recommend a spacer on the front at all with a wider wheel.
My Sienas for example are 25mm offset. So the fronts are just that 25mm, no issues. My rears are 15mm et. Which works well. You don't want a 42mm in front and a 32mm in rear. I would recommend the VW 5X100 which is 35mm offset. Which in my opinion will work well with the 164, mainly concerned with the rear here. The lower the offset the better, <35mm.
The adapters do not do anything for the offset, the adapters are for the bore., if you meant spacers then as mentioned whatever size spacer takes that exact amount off the wheel offset.
The CH for example is 17X8.5, you want the wheel to be less inward on the top and more straight to clear the strut. You can leave the front 3mm factory spacer if you wish to lower that offset a bit.
I find the handling, tire wear, steering response a much better with a lower offset as well. With a smaller wheel a higher offset is much better for handling and so forth but as we all know the inner wear on the tire is bad due to the extreme camber these cars have. That is one other reason I like the lower offset (similar to DTM cars that actually run around a 0 et)
Anyways, just my experience.

sam 3 sets??

you let me know when you get set #4 and which other set (assuming you only need 12 wheels , not 16!!) you would be willing to part with! (As long as they are 16's or better and not the great looking. but TOO MUCH WORK TO CLEAN phone dials!!)

Now, now Bob You say that as if there is something wrong with having 12 wheels for my Alfa
You should not be surprised that a guy who spent $500 on an HVAC readout repair should go crazy with wheels! :p
