Has anybody ever work with the fellow in North Beach whose name is, I think, Carlo, and has a very nice old world shop right in North Beach? I was in the city recently and the shop was open with quite a few nice Alfas inside in various states of service.

Thanks, that shop use to be Karden Automotive, owned by old time Alfa mechanic Lyn Barber. I think he must have retired. Maybe Chris was the guy that used to work with Lyn, now that I think about it....

Who is doing Alfa work there after Lyn sold up (I assume)?
I don't know Lyn but the guys running CT are Torsten and Chris.

I've used the guy in North Beach. I was pretty happy with the service and the quick turn around.

Just want to jump in in this conversation.
My name is Torsten and I'm the owner of CT Motorwerks and Prestige Autohaus. Thanks for the recommendations I got on Alfa BB. We purchased Karden Automotive in 2015 and quickly outgrew the facility. We were lucky to take over Prestige Autohaus in the same location. We split the business apart. Colin is running a specialized Rover repair out of CT Motorwerks and I deal with the German and Italian cars at Prestige Autohaus. I learned my trade in Germany at the biggest Italian car dealership in Berlin. After moving to the US I became foreman for BMW. Got tired of that and branched out.
Regards to Karden Automotive, Lyn is doing fine , he did not pass away. He moved to a small community upstate near Redding. Karen moved to Idaho to be with her kids/grandkids.

Come by check us out and chat.
