Hi all,

I've been scratching my head about how to connect anything to the low side valve on the body of the AC compressor to evacuate/refill it ('83 Spider). I have both an old R12 manifold as well as a converter that screws over the R12 port and allows the connection of an R134 manifold...both bang against the distributor housing so that one can't attach them to the port. I could see possibly an L-fitting on the port to make it accessible, but I can't seem to find one online. I'd hate to pull the distributor only to find out it won't go back in after I've attached the manifold lines. Anyone have an idea how to connect anything to the low side or have a source to an L-fitting?

Thanks!!

try nostalgic air or classic air, they both sell fittings, my aircon unit from Classic Air came with a 90 deg charge port fitting but I ended up buying a 45 deg for access reasons.
