always wondered about that my w/c t5 runs in it,,, has similar metals.. just the carbon linded synchros , and it runs on needle bearings are the major difference... a while back other people was posting about it// redline oil for the tranny is just about the same thickness

It would probably work to an extent, but why risk using a fluid that isn’t suited to the task? Savings would be pretty minimal amortized over the life of the fluid.
