Hi,

I just broke a middle ring on a Motronics piston while building a 2 litre motor. Does anyone know if the middle ring from a set of 10.4 are the same. I have a set of them around but before I tear the place apart looking for them, does anyone know if they are the same?

If they aren't the same, does anyone have stock Motronics middle rings they could sell me?

Thanks!!!

Hi Ken
There are even differences between Motronic pistons. One of the compression rings can be thicker or thinner, depending upon where the pistons were sourced. There was a thread on it a few months ago.

I thing that they are all different from 10.4's.

Thanks Ed,
I've decided to order the Hastings rings and forget about the others all together.

Hi Ken,
the recent thread gave the Hastings part numbers for the two different Motronic pistons. One type has compression rings of equal thickness and the other has two different thicknesses. I suspect that I have the wrong set in my spider engine and that may be why they do not seal very well. Check the nthread before you order the rings.
