Anyone in CT heading to "Tutto Italiano" in MA Sunday?

Was wondering if any of the CT contingent from here or the AROC-CT were planning to go to what is supposed to be "one of the biggest Italian Car Shows on the East Coast" at the Larz Anderson Automobile Museum in Brookline, MA.

It sounds interesting:

"August 5 – "Tutto Italiano" = Italian Car Day - All cars and motorcycles wishing to park of the Main Lawn must pre-register.
9AM to 2PM. The Museum will host one of the biggest Italian Car Shows on the East Coast, the 12th Annual Tutto Italiano. This year the show includes Italian motorcycles and automobiles. A day of concours, music and activities for the whole family are planned with over 300 Italian vehicles in attendance last year. From the newest member of the Ducati Superbike family to classic Ferraris, visitors will have a chance to view some of the finest vehicles in the world. Throughout the day visitors will be treated to tours of the vehicles, children¹s photo opportunities, Italian food and entertainment. The show will also feature other great marques such as Moto Guzzi, FIAT, DeTomasa, Masserati, and Lancia. Sponsored by Eastern Cycle, KTR Motorsport, and Putnam Leasing, Ferrari and Maserati of New England. Registration is $25 per car, $15 per motorcycle and $5 per bicycle."

For further info, directions, etc: http://www.mot.org/Events/lawn.html

If anyone is interested in joining up for the drive let me know.

Wasn't till I saw your post, but it sounds like a lot fun! What time were you heading up? Any other Connectikins?
Tutto Italiano ride

I'm not set on any particular time as it stands right now, so I'm open to what ever works for others....early, later...will work for me.

I'm in Glastonbury, and I see you're from Reading, so I imagine meeting someplace along I-84 east of Hartford would make sense.

Let me know what time & place works for you.
John, I don't know that area east of Hartford too well, but will be driving right through. Could you recommend a spot right off 84? Maybe a commuter lot? Dunkin Donuts? We were planning on leaving here around 8am, putting us in you area 9-9:15. Does that work? Nothing like last minute planning, egh...

I won't be going up (too much to get done around here), but will meet you if it works out. I live in South Windsor (near I84). Call me at 860-648-0205.

John and Mark, I'm at 203.241.9676 We're heading out around 8am, let me know where to meet you along 84!
That ought to put you into my area about 9 or so (possibly a bit later). If you take the exit for the Buckland Mall (exit 60-62). turn right at the end of the exit. This will take you past a gas station and a couple of other businesses. Turn right at the traffic signal into the parking lot for a sizable strip mall - by driving around the entire back, it will wind you to a Dunkin Donuts or a McDonalds in the same mall, but free standing buildings. I will bring my Spider.

Sounds good! see ya around 9 (or possibly a bit later) at Dunkin! John, can you meet us there? give me a call if something comes up or you need to meet up elsewhere. (203 241 9676)
Just got back from "Tutto Italiano" and on top of it being a really nice day out for driving, to have as your destination a really nice assortment of Alfa's sharing the grounds with lesser cars such as Ferrari's, Lamborghini's, Maseratti's, Fiat's was nothing less than icing on the cake.

Add to this the pleasure of meeting some of the people from here (really nice GTV Paul!) it just doesn't get any better than this.

I know it's summer, and people have commitments for "non-Alfa" activities but it would be nice to see more of the CT members from here on future events.

Keep an eye out for the CT-AROC Thimble Island gathering on August 19 last I heard.

How many are thinking of heading to Lime Rock Labor Day?

Hope to see many of you there.

Great meeting you John and you too Mark (sorry you couldn't drive up!) Beautiful day and some not too shabby machines either... While I was picking out a few things to round out the stable, Amy was swooning over the rows of Ducatis. I wish I had some better pictures, but I honestly got too caught up in just looking. Here's a few...

I've always just loved the SZ...

I confess, this was the poster hanging in my room when I was 8 (hey didn't know what an alfa was yet...)

THIS sounded INCREDIBLE at 12 noon when all 300 cars on display fired up their engines at once!

Okay, on to some really good stuff!

Beautiful Junior makes me look like a giant...

What a site...

John explaining to me the finer points of the Giulia Spider Veloce...

I would love to meet some more CT Alfista. Hope to see you all at an upcoming event!

Thanks Bob. A great day all in all. Definately the largest turnout of cars and spectators of all the years I've attended. I think moving the date from late May (it always rained, at least enough to scare lots of people away) to August has made a difference.

The museum staff really managed to attract a nice selection of featured cars to display outside the entrance to the carriage house. Who knew there are so many Ferrari's within driving distance of Boston.

My only Alfa comment is that I'd love to see an occasional Giulietta /Giulia Sprint or 2600 engined car show up to round out the field. I can't remember ever seeing a 2600 spider, although a TZ-1 did appear a few years ago.

Hope I can make it to Lime Rock !
Looks like a great time!
Ryan, thanks for the great pix. Missed it again, this time I came down with Lyme disease over that weekend and didn't stop shivering until about Tuesday. Better now, thankfully.

You mean you missed it for THAT... come on! I grew UP in Old Lyme!
Just kidding, hope you're feeling back to normal.
