Hi and thanks in advance! My 1990 Spider Veloce was broken into a few weeks ago. Since then any time I initiate any use of power (opening a door, touching the brake) the flashers go off --including the dash lights --for about 20-25 blinks. If I don't do anything else it all shuts off so it's not killing the batttery. But when I drive --always doing something--the thing blinks like a pinball machine.

At first I thought it was a short or the thieves had pulled a wire (standard--they could've taken it by pushing but most petty thieves aren't overly smart), now I'm wondering if there is an anti-theft something that got triggered?

I have the time and patience but don't know where to start--any ideas on how to get my baby driveable again?

Again--thanks.

Did it have any anti-theft devices in it from the previous owner? It sounds like that. Anti-theft devices are usually hooked in series with the starter wire near the keyed ignition. switch.
