84 GTV won't start I am not hearing a reassuring hum from the fuel pump so I by passed the inertia switch and still no start and I don't smell fuel after several tries to start
So how to attack the fuel pump. Is there a relay I should check first?

Which fuse is it?

What next?

Is the intake hose secure? There is a switch inside the Air Flow Meter to switch on the fuel pump. If the intake hose is loose the AFM's flap won't open & the switch for the fuel pump is not actived.

You can also remove the intake hose, switch on the ignition then reach in and manually open the AFM's flap. When doing that you should hear fuel being pumped through the fuel rail.

Not sure what fuse is for the fuel pump. The Alfa Owner's manual does not so indicate. And the Alfa wiring diagrams are nearly impossible to follow...

Its Alive !

Cleaned up all the connections I found in the engine compartment including the AFM and the Combo relay and it fired right up.
Now back to work terrorizing the neighborhood with my Ansa exhaust.
