Hi

Does anyone have an Angelo Chiapparini built 1300 race engine?

I would be very interested in discussing spec and other things....

Thanks Richard

Chiapparini

There's a very short list of specs in the back of Minerbi''s SZ-TZ.
Cam timing, compression, horsepower for the 00120 1300 and the 00511 1600.

I just saw this, while I don't have a race engine of his, I do have a GTA Jr., owned by him from 2001-2004, then sold by his family. From what I gather he may have raced this car, and then it was restored to Stradale spec., not a whole lot out there on this car.

Hi all....

I, too, just saw this! So, thank you Richard, Ruedi...5 years of Alfa queries is a mere drop in the ocean...

I was aware of that Minerbi info, but forgotten at that moment. Between the late 70s and early 90s I visited Angelo many times. He rebuilt parts of my GTA, and looked after my TZ. His great love was the dyno, so whilst we sat and had coffee with Luiza the dyno was running at 8,500 in our ears. His engines were magic, and he continually developed them, my last 1600 is basically unchanged from those days....

It should also be noted he was very generous, swapping a cylinder head FOC when there was insufficient time to modify mine.
