Hi Guys,

After recent issues with my alfa not starting.. I had the distributor cap, leads, plugs and ignition coil replaced and also the fuel filter. This all sorted out the issue with the car not starting, however tonight I tried taking the car for a short spin and the car is running very rough upon acceleration.

The car idles fine and starts up fine too. I should mention that I had the carbs rebuilt about a month ago. The car ran well twice after this but right up until the issue when it didn't want to start.

Car is a 1978 alfetta gtv with twin dellorto DHLA 40's. The car runs a mechanical fuel pump and also bosch ignition (just replaced the coil with the bosch blue type).

Any ideas?

The saying is 90% of carb problems are ignition related.
Can you check the advance of the distributor?

I'll have to get someone to look at it.. as I am not a mechanic myself.

I changed the distributor cap and rotor arm myself, but I don't think I could have messed anything up in the timing
