Alfetta GT & GTV6 door pull/arm rest inserts

This belongs in Parts Wanted & For Sale, but...

The triangular inserts were missing and I can make a pair out of sheet metal, but I'm a bit concerned it it is too tight I won''t be able to remove them. Of course, make it on the loose side, but it would be nice to have a pattern.

Plastic strip: For now one is missing but in any case they'd shrunk so that they're an inch too short. Is there a source for this 'material'? I've even thought of using a hose, but doubt if it would look right. If silver, I'd like it to be actually metallic looking rather than just gray. Since it is a 'rub area', I doubt if silver paint would stay on for long.

If no source for it, anyone have a pair for sale that haven't shrunk?

They all shrink, period! I would like to find a plastic trim piece chromed like the ones you find at Pep boys, only the right size. I may have some triangular inserts. I will look tomorrow.
I used metallic spray paint on my rub strips and it worked fine. Used it on the trapezoidal inserts, too.
Although I haven't measured them or placed them side by side, the GTV6 arm rests look exactly like the Series 3 Spider arm rests. That might expand the sources of parts.
Highwood had both items last year.

Well, they are only showing the triangles but probably worth an email to Chris.

A fabricated metal triangle is less pliable and more prone to damage(cut or create a tear) the recess of the pull handle. Yes, could be made slightly smaller but probably best to locate a plastic replacement.
