This listing is for a new (rebuilt) Burman-type steering box built by Alfaholics using their billet aluminum housing with zero miles. It's compatible with Alfa Romeo Spider, GT/GTV, or Berlina (all years), however note that steering shaft lengths differ slightly depending on year and model (bb members likely already know this!). This shaft measures 29 1/8th inches or 73.97cm from where the steering shaft tube flange meets the aluminum of the casing to the end of the shaft.

In full disclosure, the box went into my '73 GTV but was pulled right back out as I wasn't happy with the shaft length (too long by about an inch)

If you are not able to sell it, I would think you could either find a shorter shaft and tube or just have it shortened - a decent diff shop could do that work for a reasonable price.
