Hello All:

Over here at work- Continental Ferrari/Maserati Hinsdale, IL we are embarking on a pretty interesting project....once we get started I will take a few pics.

In any case, we are in need of a Donor car....in other words can be a rusty or wrecked example.. We will consider any 2 liter spider but in an ideal world the following would be the car:

1. 1972 - 1981 Spider a complete car with all components in place.
2. Not nice but driveable so that we can assess the mechanical condition
3. Cosmetically nice working gauges, nice switch gear, heater etc.
4. Converted to Webers using the euro manifold, air box, linkage etc.
5. A few other performance enhancements to the engine would be a plus.
6. Close to Chicago.
7. Cheap...after all it is a donor and we will need to rebuild everything.

Donor Car Found!

Thank you everyone. I Found a 79 on Craigslist right here in Chicago. 80K mile running driving car. Overall not a bad one. Rusty Rockers minor issues everywhere. We paid $1900. In the old days, I would have purchased the car, put $1000 into it and driven it for a couple of years!
