Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I have a question about removing the door of my Alfa Spider 1978 series 2.

How do I best remove the bolt on this picture below.

Or is there a better way to remove the door?

Thanks in advance,

Disconnect the door limit strap by driving the fluted pin upwards.

Hi Jon,

I have been hammering on that pin from below but couldn't get it moving.
I guess I have to push it a bit harder.

Thanks,
Richard

Hi Jon,

I've bought a Punch set and now I was able to remove the pin.

Handy tools to have around. The limit strap is going to need replaced soon. You can buy just the strap from most vendors. Note the orientation of strap when removing, there is a right way and a wrong way.Use a anti seize on the pin when replacing.

It's a tight fit. I use a thin piece of metal like a shoehorn.

Thanks Jon. I will buy a small shoehorn because I'm painting the door and the door handle has to go in again!

Hi Jon,
Another question. I removed the door Top Outer Trim which was very easy.

However before I'm painting the door I thought lets try to get it back on the door.
I can't get it back so it will stay fixed on the door.

Is there a trick to get this trim on the door again so it doesn't fall off?

Thanks in advance,
Richard
