I've been hearing a lot about the Alpine Development Turbo work on Alfas that went on in South Africa in the 70s. Would love to hear about any GT Sprints, GT Juniors, or GTAs that ran Alpine Turbo conversions on the street. Can't think of more exciting vehicle than a RHD Step-nose with a 2.0L turbo...

See my tribute under way in Pretoria to this concept, Alpine manifold and turbo coming in the next few days. A starting picture this month for reference as it stands today. Eventually the roof will be replaced with aluminium piece, getting rid of the sunroof! More photos to come as time permits (will include how it started just a couple weeks ago)

Eldridge,
Thanks for the information, I'll have to look Chico and the shop up the next time I'm in Gordon's Bay. I am going to start collecting Alpine parts to add to my collection of oddities...the first will go on the car pictured above, with a nice 159 EFI set-up.
