KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering will run a new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR RF for the entire 2021 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge series once again with Roy Block and Tim Lewis, Jr. See last page of 2020 thread posting by TMR Engineering for more photos.

Louis Milone, Team Principal, says that the Veloce is the latest racer out of Romeo Ferraris. It is different enough from the previous race cars that it had to be re-homologated, thus the addition of "Veloce" to the model name. Louis feels very good about this car.

First race of the year is this Friday, January 29, at Daytona. A four-hour endurance race starting at 1:30PM Eastern time.


There are 16 TCR entries: 8 Hyundais, 4 Hondas, 3 Audis, and the Alfa.

Thanks, Maldi, for the time for the race. Hope it's on TrackPass, which is better than nothing, although not by much.

KMW has the Veloce at Daytona, and they're very happy with it.

Oh well, Alfa punted off the course and out of the race with an hour left by a poorly driven Honda.

Alfa was running 2nd at the time.

I have to agree about the "poorly driven Honda."

I think there was a very good chance the Alfa drivers could have been on the first step of the podium. The new car is fast!

Bummer. But hopefully that bodes well for the rest of the season.

The Giulietta Veloce is fast and is now one of the best in TCR; their 3 hours or running showed that. The drivers are both quite good. Tim Lewis, Jr. put the Alfa second on the TCR grid, and Roy Block ran the second fastest TCR race lap.

Hopefully the damage isn't horrible. Sebring is only 3 weeks away.

The KMW Veloce is being repaired, and Louis Milone says it will be 100% for the Sebring race.

The April issue of Alfa Owner will cover the Roar and the Daytona TCR race.

The Daytona TCR race will be shown on Wednesday February 10 at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm ET on NBCSN.

I updated post #15 with the new schedule.

The Le Mans 24 hours was moved from June to August. This necessitated moving VIR and Petite Le Mans at Road Atlanta to later dates.
