Im actually liking the conceptual drawings most, I think they missed the mark a bit on the actual car though... Better pics might help

The top of the front grill is too square. The bonnet needs to curve around the front grill and the grill needs too look like the alfa grill..

It's just too triangular like that, it's the only thing that screws that front i think.

the edges need to be lightly rolled a bit..and the roof is lacking a little "puffing" and rolling...EG its too flat with the door lines makeing it look fake "odd"...course this could be a black out trim of the door frames causeing it

but i DEFINATLY like the overall package..cept the wheels, main stripe and "shelby mustang" side stripes

I'm a Giugiaro loyalist through and through, so my first gut reaction was ugggh... but I remember seeing a very cool front end "treatment" and concept made by Giugiaro for Bertone in 1965 for the Mustang.. (not the concept car he/they/Fabrizio made recently) It was basically the look of the latest mustang's front end and the original Mach 1's borrowed cues from it as well..

So I guess I can love a GTV with a more modern muscle car look to it. :)
edit* found the pics..

Also, the Mustang by Giugiaro concept... I've heard rumbles this may actually be the basis of the 2009-2012 Mustang. Let's hope.. :)

I really like the front three quarter shot. The paint is cool in a "Starsky & Hutch" kinda way and the rear says '67 Mustang / Cougar.

The designer has little clue to auto history and made a poor attempt in mixing "veal saltimbocca & a cheeseburger".

I still dig the front end!

The front panel on the concept drawing tapers in from the edge of the headlights to the edge of the lower grill opening, on the actual car it does the oposite which is why it doesn't look quite as good. imo
