Hi guys,

So, I'm working on about the history of Alfa Romeo compact sedan. I read articles from Wikipedia and it said that the first ever compact sedan from the Italian automaker was Giulia which was released at 1965 to 1978. And then it's replaced by Giulietta, 75, 155, 156, 159, and the modern-day Giulia.

My question is, is that true what I read in Wikipedia about Giulia family tree?

Thanks,

I would argue Alfa's first compact sedan was the Giulietta Berlina 1955-62.

What does wiki say about the Giulia family tree? You mean new Giulia or 105 Giulia?
The 105 cars were very much a development of 101. Lots of things came across with little change. You could also argue the Giulietta was derived from the 1900, even though that might not count as compact. But it was a unibody and there is a fair amount of commonality.
John Tipler wrote a couple books on Alfa sedans in 90s. I was starting t work on a post-war Alfa sedan book when his came out, and that was that. Saturated the market.
