i am still trying to find someone to apply the patches to the floor mats.

the local tailor cannot do it.

i am thinking of bringing it to the guy who did my interior and top.

Just a thought - you might try a shoemaker (if there's still one around), because they have the heavy duty sewing machines required for that. Or, try a home carpeting shop (though odds are they send any edge binding or sewing out to some specialist).

Lambert,

Simple, Velcro! That way you can take it off when you clean the mats?
Kevin,

That is actually a great idea.

I am still going to try and find someone who can sew it on but if not I think I will go with the velcro route.

Thanks

65 and sunny so i finally took the alfa out for a drive.

great day to have the top down.

finally installed the floor mats with the patches on permanently stitched.

avery floor mats: $74
(2) patches - ebay: $6
patches sewed on to floor mats: $30

total: $110

should i start my own alfa floor mat business and sell them for $185 shipped?

just kidding. the fit of the avery mats are excellent.
