Hi

I have uploaded several pictures on the Alfa BB Forum, but they are lost in the vast number of threads available.

I figure as these are Giulietta pictures, then I am on the right area of the forum & you guys would probably appreciate more

Firstly, some Alpine Rally pictures

This picture shows the Alfa Giulietta TI of the German team, "Max Reiss & Hans Wencher (No205)" playing follow my leader with the French registered TI of "Guy Clarou & Pierre Gele"(No209), & both teams on their way to winning a Cup & taking second & third places in the 1958 Alpine Rally

There were four Giulietta TI`s entered in the 58 Alpine
The third being that of "Michel Collange" (No204), & winner of the 1956 Alpine rally, but this car failed to finish due to engine failure

There were two blue Sprint Veloce 750E`s taking part in the 1958 Alpine rally as both seen in the Shell Film "Coupe des Alpes"

Cars No 212 & No208

No 212 (Milan registration: MI 319759) was not a true competitor, but a car & driver on loan from Alfa Romeo to help with the making of the above Shell film. No212 was also fitted with onboard Cine camera

No 208 was a competitor & the car was French registered but failed to finish. Entrant, R Fabre

This picture shows (No212) Climbing the "Passo Dello Stelvio"

Giulietta Sprint Brands Hatch

This is a picture of one of my Giulietta Sprints (1958 750B interim./ Chassis no: 1493 07760) taken at Brands Hatch, UK around 1980 on a wet test day, & queing in front of a Giulia 101 Spider.

I owned no less than 5 of these pretty little cars before I was taken around the same track in a Fulvia 1600HF, but that is another story

Battered Sprint Veloce on Alpine Rally

1958 Alpine again

High in the French Alps, this is a picture of Competitor (No 208), the second Alfa Sprint in this rally

This 750E Sprint Veloce (reg:2307 AZ 13)driven by Fabre failed to finish.
No doubt down to the bashed front panel & twisted bumper hiding a possible damaged radiator

Sprint 208 on Stelvio

58 Alpine again

This is the french registered Giulietta Sprint Veloce (No208) of "Fabre" climbing the Stelvio pass in pre accident condition!

Just out of the picture, to the left is one of the Film cars (Ford Zodiac mark 2 with specially adapted camera area in boot)

Giulietta TI at Silverstone racetrack

Sole survivor!

UK registered Giulietta TI out on the track on it`s own at Silverstone in the 1980`s

This same car appears further down this page, now sporting a pale blue nose cone & the picture taken over 25 years later!

Sprint Veloce Zagato

What a back scene!

This is Bernard Consten in his Sprint Veloce Zagato "643 EH 14" (No207) on the "Croce Domini" pass in Italy

With it`s loose gravel surface & lack of railings, this was no country for old men!

Spiders

A pair of Spiders playing "Catch me if you can" on the 58 Alpine

The driver of the blue Spider veloce was no less than "Denis Jenkinson" of Mille Miglia fame, & european corresponent for "Motor Sport" magazine

DSJ`s blue Spider veloce was not a competitor, but a Camera car on loan from Alfa Romeo, & adorned with the letter "C" for Cinema on each door
