At Road America, the Alfas finished 10th and 12th (of 13) in class in a rain-shortened race.

In the top class, the early battle between the Aston Martin Vantage and the Audi R8 was exciting, as was the finish where the Chevrolet Camaro went from 4th to 1st on the last rain-soaked lap beating the McLaren GT4 by half a car length.

VIR

RML, not going to Road America, but thinking of going to VIR for the race in late August.
I will be at VIR. Any Alfisti who are going to be there, let's plan on meeting for lunch at the track on Friday 8/23.

Did they qualify yet?? Forgot to tell you @MALDI about the Camaro that won at Elkhart in the last 20 FT. The Aston Driver hit the PTT button to celebrate before the stripe......... It was the Pit-Road Limit button and the car shut down and the Chevy buzzed by for the win.. TRUE STORY. That is a life changing moment
Have Fun if your there

Disappointing. How much longer is the season?
There are two more races for TCR in IMSA and three in World Challenge/Blancpain:

For KMW Motorsports with TMR Engineering, the schedule with IMSA is:

Laguna Seca, CA, 9/13-15
Petit Le Mans at Rd Atlanta, GA, 10/9-12

Risi Competizione has the following races left in the Blancpain/World Challenge:

Watkins Glen, NY, 8/30-9/1
Road America, WI, 9/20-22
Las Vegas, NV, 10/18-20

Here is quote about the race from the KMW Motorsports social media page https://www.facebook.com/KMWMotorsports :

"VIR is behind us. Mother Nature was not so nice. Constantly changing weather conditions cancelled most of the free practice and qualifying. The team rallied back, and with several full course yellows for crashes we we poised to a pair of top 5 finishes. Unfortunately on the final lap the #3 car was hit in the rear in the last turn and sent way off into the field, returned to finish 9th. The #5 car was involved in the chaos as well as with cars spinning and crashing everywhere we lost a 4th for a result of 7th.
Onto Laguna Seca in 3 weeks !!"

And a cool pic, too.

Look for some new livery on the #5 car - they're trying to help with relief to the Bahamas.

Why do they schedule these races on an Alfa Weekend for me??? I have to stand around in 100 deg heat in the desert all weekend.
I should be at Laguna where it is cooler!!
Back in the day we could do a 1 day biitz from LA to Laguna and back home that night.
Good luck Alfas. A slower track should be better for them?

Alfa Owner will need pics from the Laguna Seca race. If you attend, please take some pics and send them to me at [email protected] so I can put them in our coverage in the magazine.

Thanks!

A 4th for the #5 Giulietta (Block & Lewis) at Laguna Seca! Best finish of the year for Alfa!

The #3 car came in 12th (of 13) in class.

Just heard from Louis Milone of KMW Motorsports, the #5 car has been nominated for the best livery for 2019. To add your vote, go to:

https://michelinracingusa.com/impc-fan-vote/

Then scroll down and pick the 5alfa for best livery.
