Knowing what a diverse group us Alfa owners are, I'm reaching out to you for some advice on creating a digital repository of information held by our club. I work in the information management field, but would like some suggestions, or better still, examples from clubs that may have already implemented a digital repository of their club's information.
My initial thought was to scan and make searchable our 40+ years of club magazines, but of course there's other info that could be made accessible as well. I think that free, open source software such as D-Space would be the way to go, but am open to any ideas. I'm also aware of two NZ products, Koha (which I use at work and consider it too traditionally library oriented) and Greenstone.
Please reply here or PM me if you prefer - your help will be much appreciated by this little Alfisti down under.
Regards,
