You've heard of "Shake 'N Bake Weather," we're in the bake process now, so who knows, maybe the shaking will follow just in time for the convention. How often do earth quakes happen there? :scared:
Brian, thanks for mentioning one of the finer points in the registration rules. There are a few who show up every year just to walk the lots and chat, but don't officially register. Having said that, IINM, the goodie room and vendor rooms are supposed to be off limits to non-registrants. How well that is controlled varies by convention and has been extremely problematic at a couple of conventions.bshorey said:That said, you don't need to register to show up, hang out in the parking lot, talk Alfas, etc. You don't need to register to observe many of the events, the concours, etc. But we really wish you would, it's been a lot of hard work, and some of the venues are pretty expensive (Sonoma Raceway for 2 days? Ouch!).

I agree with you on that they should not be off limits. It's so hard for me to remember -- I know there was an issue in Portland that covered many different areas about non-registration with one particular individual, but it seems to me there was an issue at an earlier convention, where the registration table was located in the basement just opposite the foot of the stairs and outside the elevator.Hi Cheryl,
I honestly don't remember any rules regarding the vendor rooms being off limits, but I'm not sure why we would want to lock any potential customers out of there. The vendors provide a ton of support for these conventions, I think we owe it to them to direct as many possible customers towards them as possible.
Of course, that is me speaking. I will get the official stance and report back. I can tell you, if there was such a rule, you wouldn't see me enforcing it..
bs
Just heard back from the grand poo bahs, we won't be checking registration badges at the entry to the vendor room. All are welcome and encouraged to support our vendors.I agree with you on that they should not be off limits. As a general rule, the gas prices are higher in the San Francisco area than in Southern California. I've been paying between $3.59 - $3.89 a gallon in Orange County. I haven't paid $4.00/gallon since late last year or early this year, although, I've heard from some of my friends in the Mid-west that prices are approaching that range due to refinery problems, delivery issues etc. Normally, we would see cheaper prices when we traveled through the Mid-West.not so much worried about earthquakes as the high price of the fuel in California.![]()
Thank you for the information...........The Napa Valley Driving Tour is sold out, however the Sonoma Wine Country Bus Tour still has openings. I think you would enjoy the Sonoma Wine Country Tour.
