This is the place to discuss general Alfa California 2013 convention issues and questions. Please view subsequent threads to discuss a specific activity. Note; The convention schedule is being finalized and the convention regestration has not yet opened. The DoubleTree room registration is open. New Forum

I'm reluctant to stick my nose in where it may not belong, but wouldn't it be better to ask the moderator to create a new forum for next year's convention? This post is in a section identified at an archive for past convention postings.

Looking forward to the event, by the way.

Bob--You are correct. I tried to set up a new forum, but with my very limited computer skills this was the best I could do for now. I could not find any instructions for "Setting up new forums for Dummies" I hope to get some help this wekend and set up a proper forum.--Harly

I suggest you communicate directly with one of the admins - They are best-suited to help you, and will likely move these threads to a new forum for you.
By the way, I have my hotel room and will be bringing the Z (of course!!) :D

A new 2013 convention forum would be great. The Alfa California facebook page is OK, but a separate forum is much better. These were offered for recent past conventions and were excellent for specific questions and communication for the different events.

Harly -

Of course you are correct, but 2013 is kinda hidden in a forum labelled "Alfa Conventions - Past Alfa conventions are archived here". I was just agreeing with rabhalter's earlier request for a separate forum.

We're already registered, and anticipate a great time. Preliminary response to my question about RV and trailer parking is that this may be not be allowed in the convention hotel parking lot. I mention this here as an example of how information like this was disseminated previously and because other attendees may use the information.

George--There is a 2013 AROC Convention Forum. --Harly

Hotel Sold Out???

The convention hotel is already sold out??

What other choices are there?

Edit- I did check their website and they do have some rooms available for the standard $159 per night rate. Sorry to jump the gun.

I am looking for a roommate to split a room at the Double Tree
There are larger rooms with balcony available at $179 + tax per night
Prefer to book as soon as possible: Monday thru Friday at the convention site

WARNING--Online registration for Alfa California 2013 ends July 1. Don't miss out on one of the largest AROC conventions ever. While some of the events are sold out, there are still many opportunities to enjoy five days in the Sonoma Wine Country: driving on rallies and tours on Pacific Coast roads, bus tours to various points of interest, attending track events at Sonoma Raceway (Infineon), viewing the Concorso at the nearby golf course, or just mingling with other Alfisti at events at the DoubleTree Hotel. Since I sold all my Spiders and not having luck in finding the 4 door Alfa so far, could I just drive up to the meet in a non-Alfa? Do I need to register?
