I would like to find material similar to, or original for the hood mat on a 1987 Milano. It is felt, about 5mm or 3/8 inch thick. I used a different insulating material which worked for the heat, but apparently is not suited to any chemical substances and is now deteriorating. I do not want to use self adhesive material, prefer to use with the stock clips.
Hi folks. I am still looking for hood mat material which is similar to that used for the Milano 1987. It is felt, no more than 5mm or about 3/8 inch thick. Conventional mats are too thick. Does not need to be cut to shape, or formed as origianal, can do that here. I had used some terrific metallic backed foam -- good for heat, not good for chemical exposure. Has anyone seen such felt like material in this thickness.

From what I can see, these were molded. How are you planning on accomplishing that? Just curious.
