Since the wheel base of the Sprint is 80 mm longer than the wheel base of the Spider (2580 mm vs. 2500 mm), I would presume the longer steering column is from a Sprint. Note that the 2600 Spider shaft had a 102 parts numbers, whereas the 2600 Sprint shaft had a 106 part number. I have no information about corresponding 102 Sprint part number, which may be different.

Edit: I dropped by the garage and can confirm Steve's measurements below: The shaft on my LHD Spider also measures 920 mm. Maybe the Sprint shaft is shorter to allow for more leg room on its rear seats, or the shorter shaft is from a RHD car? I'll be happy to update the list below if someone can provide measurements.

102.02.23.020.02 - 920 mm - LHD Spider.
106.02.23.020.00 - ??? mm - LHD Sprint.
106.07.23.020.00 - ??? mm - RHD Sprint/Spider.

Hi Franco,

The shaft from my 102 spider measures about 920mm, matching your longer shaft.
