Hi Alfa Bulletin Board,

I am new to the forums and am looking for an Alfa 164 LS or S to use as a daily driver. I have recently had my dads old fox body mustang restored and want something a little more comfortable for the daily commute so I can use his old car on the weekends. I love cars to much to pick up an average accord and eventually stumbled upon the 164's and fell in love.

I am in Southern California, on the edge of La County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County.

I have a max of KBB value to pay for the car (2.2-2.3k) and am not expecting some 30k mileage show vehicle. I am new to alfa's but after some research I know that the timing belt maintenance is a must and would very much like a car that does not need a new one. A/C isn't a must but it is hot as heck down here.

I hope you can all help me out, I was looking on craigslist and got over sellers not knowing anything about their own cars because they "won it in a bet" or whatever excuse. I want to start my Alfa ownership off right!:001_cool:

Text me at (909) 938-2679 or call me after 6:30 (I work/go to school). Also feel free to PM me.

Thanks!

Call Uwe Backer, proprietor of Omega Motorsports in Culver City. He has a 164LS automatic that was mine until recently. It was my wife's daily driver and is in excellent mechanical condition. The only thing wrong mechanically is the air conditioning never blew very cold even after many dollars thrown at it. Cosmetically, the paint is faded and it's far from a new car, but there's no rust and you can drive it right away. it's dark blue outside and the interior is black.

Uwe's number is 310-836-3160.

Hey Lenard! Not to jump this thread (which I am!)... but did you see I have your old '95 LS up to ~261hp...with more hp waiting to be tapped? If you have any comments, use my thread - HP Intake Mods - not this one. Grazie!

Back to your normally scheduled programming...
