I have recently finished my conversion from carbs to fuel injection, Rolling road was a little disappointing and the tuner commented he thought a longer intake would help.
Original set up with pipercross cold air box
Using a set of bends from a Sud injection set up.
And some 3d printed adapters
I tested this set up and it gave noticeable improvement the engine felt a lot stronger lower down and timmed runs 2000 rpm to 6000 rpm which showed gains
I still feel I'm missing a trick not having a cold air feed and I find open filters too noisy for longer drives so looked to fit the pipercross, unfortunately it fouls the bonnet and I'm not sure I can modify it and still look good.
I came up with this solution from extra parts I had laying around
Tried to make it as standard as possible looking, it's 2lbs heavier than the Pipercross but feel it more than compensates with the additional power
