I am rebuilding the fuel vapor return line in my '71 Spider. I have to replace the old in-line air check valve as the old one was under the car near the exhaust pipe and it's melted and stoved up. Schematics I have seen seem to show it in the trunk area near the vapor collection bottle. Does it matter where it goes? And: It IS designed to let air into the line not exhaust it out, right???
