Sorry about the repeat post from the New England section, but you guys know a considerable amount and this section gets big traffic.

I am in the process of purchasing an Alfa car. Hagerty states that it cannot write "classic car" insurance in Massachusetts for a car newer than 1986 due to Commonwealth restrictions. The soon-to-be-mine car is newer than that.

I cannot simply add the car to my existing policy according to my agent. I could really use some help here. All suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Hagerty is a joke... And overpriced!

Try grundy or infinity collector car insurance... They offer agreed value insurance for classic, collectible and exotic vehicles provided you can list another car as your daily driver...

Allstate offers agreed value insurance as well...
