Hi, due to a back problem I would prefer to drive an automatic Spider (I currently own a manual S4). The autos were not sold in the UK originally but I have been to see one for sale over here which has been imported from the States some time ago and converted to right hand drive. It needs some work, vibration in drive train etc, new hood, but could be a good car.

Questions:

What are they like to drive assuming drive train OK?

Are parts available for the auto box (I assume I would have to import from US if necessary) ?

The aircon is not connected - the drive belt has been changed for one which misses out the compressor. Are the proper belts available? Is the aircon easy to fix if I find that it is not functional even with the belt?

And generally any thoughts from people with experience of this model would be very helpful.

Thanks MotoWorf. The Spider auto sounds fine in theory from these other posts, hopefully others can help with whether parts are available etc.
