i am removing the AC from my 84 spider veloce. what size belt should I get for the alternator/water pump. Checked on Rockauto and too many choices!

The A/C belt has nothing to do with the alt and W/P belt. Removing the A/C should not have any bearing on which alt and W/P belt you use.
Looking at the Rockauto site, if you skip over the A/C belts and Air pump belts, there are only 2 choices for the Alt and W/P.
Roadmax W/P and Alt belt and Dayco Fan and Alt bellt. These 2 should be the same belt by 2 different makers and thus 2 different part numbers. Either one should fix you up just fine.
