I find it hard to tell a person from way over there to keep it or replace it with non abs. Especially without seeing the car in person. I don't think there is a right or wrong. Its just what do you wan't to do. I said and say keep it based on my personal non problematic relationship with my ABS system. Now being in MN I hate the ABS function of non locking brakes. Well if you don't live in frozenville USA like I do. You won't understand. But ABS causes crashes here. One simple example would be if you were in rush our in winter and you drove under a bridge on the freeway. You will drive over an icy patch. Just like I did. While the car in front of you passed the icy spot. I didn't, and my lovely ABS worked like a charm in not letting my wheels lock up. What does that mean? It means even though my back wheels were on dry road, The front tires were on ice and therefore the ABS kicked in like a charm and would only let my vehicle come to a controlled stop. Meaning it forced me right into the rear of another car. It happens all the time.
