Back to one of your questions and Olaf can help with this, but I think the only 2 liter engines ever run in a step nose were the early 1750 mono block engines that were to be used in the GTAm were put into a wide body GTA for a few races of testing. I am not sure if the actual homologation of this happened with the FIA though which would mean it would not be legal in our club. Most other clubs though do not care about the details.

Any period Nord engine from the late 60's early 70's is correct for the time in general. The 2 most correct engines are the 1300 and 1600 for that body, wide or not. A 1750 or 2 liter less correct but I agree with Stuart in that if you are building a street car do whatever floats your boat. Put AC in it with a big stereo and have fun!

Absolutely no way to get 200hp with street gas and a true vintage motor on carbs or SPICA.

Real GTA sold at Coys earlier this year for £47k ish ( I can't recall the exact price)!!!! Build what you want.
