What's the electrical connection next to the overflow? The reverse switch is in the bellhousing so far as I understand.

Which way does the springgy clip thing by the throwout bearing go and what exactly does it do?

Seat belt interlock switch, I think.
The spring is a retainer. The ends go into the TO bearing carrier, the part around the pivot holds it in place. Once all installed, doesn't really matter than much, and they're often broken/backwards/missing.
You need to ground the engine/trans to the body somehow. That looks like the original strap. Typically come off one of the engine/trans bolts, some rear plates have a separate tab for the bolt.

Interlock... that explains its absence on the euro parts diagram!

The retainer is a nice touch, I suppose its doing the job done by duct tape while installing clutches on other cars I've worked on..
