The speedo works intermittently. Have checked/redone all the solder points. Wondering if it’s a circuit board issue. Would welcome any suggestions.
Any idea if Palo Alto Speedos is the place to contact? I’m in San Diego. Thanks.

On the S4 the pulse generator is mounted near the downtubes and tends to get fried by the heat. Not saying that’s definitely your problem but I’ve had two OEM ones fail on me. So it may not be the speedo itself.

next time the speedo stops, look to see if the mileometer is still turning....if it is, then the pulse generator (PG) will be good, and it will be an internal speedo fault.
This pdf document has some quite useful information.

Palo Alto or Powls seem to be the 2 shops often quoted on the BB
speedometer repair shops
