Hey has anyone removed the coil springs with an internal spring compressor like this one? Trying to change my ball joints out and hate to have to use the Alfa factory tool.

You can do a search here on the ABB. You do not have to remove the springs to swap out the lower ball joints. There is a proper procedure to do this with safety in mind, as the springs are under high pressure.

I didn't think I had to remove them. I just thought I had to take the pressure off of them. Can you do it without Having to compress the springs? It is just the lower ball joints that need changing. the other ones are tight.

The tool you posted won't work. If you want to remove the springs check out this great thread: Installing Front Spring (compression)

All you need is some threaded rod, washers and nuts. You remove one bolt from the spring pan, and replace with threaded rod, then the next in turn until all bolts have been placed with the threaded rod. Once the bolts have been replaced, you keep loosening the nut until the spring has been let down entirely.
