Hi there, starting the restoration of an 88 Spider, and I noticed a bit of play in the rear bearings, is this normal, or do I need to change the bearings... or can it be fixed?
thanks for any advice you can provide!

That sound is coming from the LSD and is normal.

When you put the tire back on and test the rear bearings, you will also find a little play and that is normal as well. Fronts should have no play.

Good luck,

Vin

As above: the bearings have play from factory new, as long as they don't feel rough or the play is excessive its normal

your brake disc seems to have a rather deep groove worn right in the centre
Thanks for your answers, this gives me peace of mind!
