I JUST PUT A 302 IN MY SPIDER, THOS OF YOU WHO HAVE ALLREADY DONE THIS CAN HELP...WHAT ADDITIONAL REINFORCEMENT DO I NEED IN THE FRONT END...MY DIFF. IS A FORD 9IN. SO NO PROBLEMS THERE..I removed the air cond and anything else that added additional weight..

speedway motors for front / rear springs . pick and choose.. my car has 1150"/lbs on the front w/ stock motor.. so you might want to go with 1300-1400"/lbs on you car 150-175"/lbs on the rear..my can runs well with my set up not harsh, nice a sporty , great grip.

Out of curiosity, why a 302 instead of a Chevy small block, or even a GM V6?

It was popular a few years ago to put blown V6's into model A's , etc., since they were dimensionally smaller. (smaller except for the supercharger, that is)

The foot print of the 302 is smaller, and with a small firewall fab. and no distributor in rear was able to get motor down and back a little farther....
