Make sure you can move the steering wheel and unload pressure on the ignition lock. If that doesn't work, check your key to see if it is worn. When Alfa started using steel keys they tend to wear out the tumbler pin sets. Try your spare key (you do have one, don't you?) Try to locate the lock set key code, may be on the key if original, or sometimes written in the owners manual if you have it. You might try a locksmith that deals in auto locks...find one that specializes in foreign. If they can't get it solved, you may have to remove the upper and lower column covers, get the P/N and check with the many Alfa vendors you can find here or in the Alfa Owner. Good Luck!
