Does anyone have a diagram or image showing the correct orientation of the injectors on the fuel rails (fuel distributor manifold) of a 2.5L 12V L-jetronic that they could share? Please.

the image in the service manual isn't clear, but the warning about making sure that the connectors on the injectors are correctly aligned is.

Looks like the plug/body of the injectors will interfere with the retaining bolts if they are not aligned exactly right .

thanks.

Absolutely as stated above. The original bosch injector connectors are even smaller the the new replacements like those for Eagle Day, so you really have to be careful of alignment. the trick is to NOT tighten the two retaining clamp bolts all the way so that you can adjust them slightly for the injector harness, then tighten the bolts before putting on the intake manifold.

If you make your own harness, you may be able to position the injectors facing another position.... But more difficult to get to clip.

once fitted it really doesn't matter how you orientate them, so long as the plugs reach, and the plugs don't fret against the cam covers. once the injectors are bolted down, you can still carefully rotate them to where you want them, just make sure you wet the seals before you put them in, so that when you rotate the injectors you dont scuff the seals on the bores. if you can't rotate them at all once bolted down, then you have the wrong seals fitted. The correct diameter seals will alow you to rotate the injector slowly, even if it is bolted down.
