hi all, I have a major issue trying to fit the grill on my 79 spider. I’ve never seen a bumper look like this and am unsure how to mount the grill to this. Do I cut it? Any ideas??

That extra piece needs to be removed. Cut the welds. And that top chrome piece needs to be removed also.

Yep - I used a Dremel to remove the lower piece. You'll have two holes leftover when you remove the top trim - I got some rubber plugs at the hardware store and painted them to match.

That chrome piece is held on by two little nuts that are 7/32 or 5.5mm. I hope this saves you several trips to the hardware store.
