I am restoring a 79 alfa , i did thefuel sytem including the fuel pump, new ignition coil,ignition cap and cables, webers with kit, I get gas on the carbs. I put a spark tester and got no spark, any input will be appreciated.

Did you clean the points (I'm assuming they have points being an S2 guy) with sand paper? If so the sandpaper will leave a film on the points that will not carry currrent and no spark. Clean them off with a rag soaked in brake parts cleaner. see if they spark with they open, then see if the coil wire sparks to ground, then put the cap back on and see if any on the four wires spark to ground. Check that you have 12v to the posititive side of the coil. good luck, just take it one step at a time to track the problem down.

I check the module and was ok, got another ignition coil, and after 10 years the ingine fire up at the first one, the autopart replaced witthout charge.
