Surprised I couldn't find a thread on this. I guess this is obvious to everyone but me. ;-)
What's the best approach to installing a replacement (from Classic Alfa) veneer to a dash? Go to the hardware store and try to find some little rubber nubs and speed nuts like on back of the original veneer? Glue? If glue, best suggestions?
I’ve done this twice, and used speed nuts from Classic Alfa or the hardware store. The veneer is held in place by the chrome trim surround and not glued to the dash.
What did you connect the speed nuts to? Did you salvage the old rubber studs from the back of the old veneer or find some similar at the hardware store?
There are no posts on the back of my chrome trim. Only posts are on the "2000" badge. The veneer itself only has a couple glued-on rubber studs/posts like this...
