Mounted as shown, - ran hot side relay pin 30 to starter hot with 12g , switched side pin 87 back to solenoid with 12g . Trigger Pin 84 came from orig terminal and only thing left was ground pin 85 for trigger - ran to coil mount with a star washer.

you might want to add a 20A in-line blade fuse between pin #30 and starter hot on that 12ga wire.
or is there one already on spica cars?
I thought about that, the primary concern being that the hot wire (30) somehow disconnects and shorts out to the chassis somewhere. So I insulated the entire connector such that if it falls off, its unlikely to short. Adding more stuff in-line increases the possibility of a breach --But still....
If the solenoid draw goes too high, the relay will burn out. And the relay is only 5 bucks so...??
