The rust situation doesn't look too bad? Did you dig into the floors? Tell me more or give me a call at (423) 847-7491.
Thanks, "Z"

Apparently the engine turns over and is strong. Has a set of 4 bwa's. Good shape with a few missing the center caps. Under the doors looked solid. These are all the photos I took. Car is near Chateau Elan.

Dave,
Thanks for the chat and the additional pictures you took. As I told you, I spoke with the current owner as well and he said that the original owner was a doctor who became too ill to drive and that its been stored for a number of years until he got it. It needs someone to "adopt" it -- too involving for me to do right now with a '74 GTV resto in progress, but someone will enjoy having it.

Anyone purchase the car yet? More info from a former owner I found this morning from my local alfa web blog:

Chuck,
Thanks for posting this article from the AlfaBB. This
is my ex '69 GTV, and it looks like the last 15 years
have not been kind to it. I can tell it was mine from
the dash cap and the decals on the windshield. It's a
shame the way it has fallen into such bad shape.

I bought the car from David Lamb, in Jacksonville,
Alabama in May, 1987. He had gotten the car from a
wrecking yard in Montgomery and rebuilt it. The car
had been hit in the front end and he replaced the
front clip. He also had Paeco from Birmingham work on
the engine. Nice Webers and some go-fast cams. That
car got me hooked on Alfa with the first ride.

Anyway, in 1992 I traded it in for the '91 Spider from
Spruell's and didn't know what happened to it. Hans
said that he thought a doctor had bought if from
Spruell. Like I said, the years have not been kind to
the old pet.

Ask WL about the way the car would run. It would FLY.

Thanks again for unknowingly bringing back some old
memories. I will always remember how the car was, and
not what it's like now.

Very sad it got to that condition. That dash cover looks scary:eek:. All in all though, it doesn't look that bad (did I say that:confused:) but you'll need these to do it up.

It looks a lot nicer than the project 71 1750 I just sold, though it may be rustier. In Calif this would have been snapped up already, I think.
