Not that i needed another project, but they seem to find me, so here we go again. I actually bought this car a long time ago, started to work on it, then sold it off 10 years ago only to buy it back couple months ago.

Its biggest issue/challenge is its lack of trunk. oh n fenders were hacked up. Rest is rust free n blissfully stripped n clear of hidden gremlins.

Still formulating a plan on this but attacking the obvious was definitely the first step

That was me n I paid for all that bracing which I have now paid to throw away n start over. Guy who bought was heading that direction but sold driveline so now were starting over. Luckily I have a garage full of street parts that should come together nicely to make this live once again. Fingers crossed ?

Been awhile but progress being made. Body at paint shop and starting to get some love. Told June 1st to be painted, might be sooner with slow down. Engine at my race guru Phils bungalow, tranny being built w lightened gears by Larry Dickman, AH ss exhaust in and new special clutch arrived and in shelf w ever groong pile of parts. head n carbs at the ready being freshly serviced by Tom Sahines w 11mm Megacycle cams. Ive spent last 2 weeks doing a much needed garage cleanse n organization. All n all a great way to stay safe n sane during this crazy time. cheers.

Engine together and ready to go. Full rebulld by my race guru Phil. New Motronic pstons & liners, bearings, etc. Head by Tom Sahines with 11mm cams, ported intake , rebuilt 40DCOE,s. All looks great. Cant wait to install it, but got lots to do until then. Pulling seats out to tackle next. Might as well get that going and checked off the list even though its going to be awhile before they get installed. Cheers

So grabbed the Super today from body shop to weld in the chassis plates from Alfaholics.

Would of thought they fit better, so close but far from a direct fit as I expected (wished?) for a laser cut item.

Each plate will take some cutting/trimming along with redrilling most of the steering mech holes.

Maybe they didnt realize theyre for a Super? idk. lil dissapointed, but fixable.

Tempted to seam weld the chassis since its so raw. We’ll get the plates on and see. Only have 2 more days with welder who’s been attacking the 59, so want to make the most of his time while I got him.

Stopped by body shop n first coat of primer is on. Great progress, everything aligned, prepped n happy. Getting guide coat n second prime, then epoxy sealer before paint. Getting close. Btw, this at a new shop as old one lost/cut their crew during pandemic, so only doing insurance work. New place knows Alfas having done a bunch for a local mechanic who has a fleet of them. Owner is great, taking the time to strip off everything done before, alignng panels n doors n starting fresh Have 3 more projects in the works and happy and hopeful Ive found my go to place for paint. woohoo!

Sharp eye on trunk lid badging, so many subtle variations on Supers, hard to keep track. This one is going to be a mix; 5 bar grill, interior changes, engine and I guess now badging. Still undecided on rear lights, kinda like the older small lense style, which looking at Andrews rear paneI I bought, seems to the case. I have both, so will wait n see what I think once car is back from paint. Have a strong pull on color, but not sure if I can pull it off. Been eye balling maroon n bluette, but hearts in a different place as those who know me have already seen. Sometimes you have to just get it out of your system n hope it works out. Bain of being creative. It will be fun, go like stink and def catch your eye.fingers crossed

Thanks. I have those scripts on the shelf but may place them on rear only, split on each side. We’ll see. Your car looks great
