2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray vs. 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C: Performance Test - 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Long-Term Road Test

Sounds like the "little guy" is quite capable. But braking performance numbers are a bit disappointing. Yeah, I realize that won't make any difference in real life
Dunno - had this discussion elsewhere recently.
Seems like the C7 is faster, quicker off the line, and faster on the track, by these numbers:
Alfa Romeo 4C vs Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray [46864701]

And I think, in N. America, it will be the Stingray which is the closest competitor to the 4C. So this is a good debate to have. Price-wise, it is not too far off (I'm told that the Chevy's price tag rivals that of the 911 in Europe, which I cannot fathom).

Chevrolet says they shift 3,000 Corvettes A MONTH. Alfa claims to want to do 3,500 4C's A YEAR (and none of us believe they will come anywhere close to that). But despite the high numbers, the Vette still turns heads, and sounds amazing.

Other interesting Reading is a comparison between 8C and 4C in the Auto Italia Magazine!

Although the 4C is a lighweight, the 8C has a better ower to weight ratio than the 4C!

GK.
Had me right up to the price! :p

Edit - here's the duel for C7 Vette and 8C Competitzione.

Surprisingly closely matched, until you look at the prices.
Vette still wins on power to weight, as well as speed and track time.

I still want a 4C

The c7 Alfa 4c is something I too was contemplating as I am an Alfa fan since the early 1960s and presently on my third new corvette..

Still not sure if I want a c7 z06 or an Alfa 4c for my next car.
